Ratinova (“Ratinova”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) helps restaurants collect reviews, capture private feedback, and manage their online reputation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, dashboard, and the QR review flow your customers interact with.

01Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & business information — your name, email address, phone number, restaurant name, location, and business details you provide when you sign up or configure your account.
  • Customer feedback & review data — ratings, written feedback, and reviews submitted through your QR codes, along with reviews we retrieve from connected platforms such as Google.
  • Customer contact information — names and phone numbers your diners provide when leaving feedback, which build your customer database.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, device and operating system, and cookies used to keep you signed in and to improve the product.
  • Usage data — how you interact with the dashboard, QR scans, and feature usage, used to improve the service.
  • Payment information — billing details for subscriptions, processed securely by our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

02How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Ratinova platform.
  • Route customer ratings — sending happy customers to Google and capturing unhappy feedback privately.
  • Send WhatsApp alerts, review notifications, and weekly reports to restaurant owners.
  • Generate AI-assisted review replies and analytics.
  • Process subscription payments and prevent fraud.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Meet our legal, security, and compliance obligations.

03Google API Services & Limited Use

When you connect a Google account, Ratinova's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • We use Google data solely to provide and improve the review-management features you request.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide the service.
  • We do not use Google data for advertising.
  • You can disconnect your Google account at any time from your dashboard settings.

04How We Protect Your Data

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring to protect your information. Our data is stored with Supabase, which manages our database and authentication infrastructure. While no system can be guaranteed completely secure, we work to safeguard your information using industry-standard practices.

05Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
  • Manage cookies through your browser settings.

06Third-Party Services

Ratinova integrates with third-party services to deliver its features, including Google, the WhatsApp Business API, Razorpay (payments), and Supabase (infrastructure). These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

07Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

08International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside India by our infrastructure providers. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information receives appropriate safeguards.

09Children's Privacy

Ratinova is a business tool and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of Ratinova after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
